HOW TO PASS GOETHE-ZERTIFIKAT A1 EXAM WITHOUT ATTENDING ANY COURSE? Fast Learning!

HALLO LEUTE!

I'm writing this as I just passed my Goethe A1 Exam today (26 August 2015) with 81/100 Score. Nicht schlecht, oder? :p

I passed this exam by self studying from only 1 book and by the help of my German friend, Dennis (danke Dennis xx).  I'm sure some of you might actually wondering whether you will pass A1 Exam by self studying or not. YES, YOU CAN and YOU WILL! I made it, so why wouldn't you?

Let's just get it straight as I know that you guys are curious how to pass a Goethe-Zertifikat Exam Level A1 by Self Studying / without attending any course. If you can afford the course then it will be even better. But if you ain't got time or money to afford Goethe course, self study works too, only if you :

 1. HAVE COMMITMENT
 2. LOVING GERMAN LANGUAGE
 3. DON'T BE TOO FOCUS ON THEIR ARTICLES AND STUFFS (der, das, die, etc)
It won't be used too much on A1 EXAM and you wont have enough time to remember all the      rules.

So, these are steps I did before the exam date. Literally only 1 MONTH preparation.

1. READ "FIT FÜRS A1 GOETHE-ZERTIFIKAT A1" BY HUEBER + its CD

This book is awesome. It teaches you how to do all section during the A1 Exam. It is including the Teil (part) : Schreiben (Writing), Lesen (Reading), Hören (Listening), and Sprechen (Speaking). They will tell you what will the Exam be like. For instance : The parts, what you  have to do in the exam, how to write letter for Schreiben etc.
I think by reading the entire pages of this book is enough. I literally only use this book. Only  this. ^^

Where can you get this?

You can buy it online on Amazon I suppose. OR, you can just go to your local Goethe Institut and read this book in their Library. Normally they also allow you to bring the book home but you have to join their BIBLIOTHEK Membership. I paid 30,000 IDR for a year membership. I would suggest to borrow and bring it home.

*** Read the book and do the work part by part everyday.  Yes everyday, because then your brain will automatically think about German sentences and remember them easily. Finish the book and don't miss any single page.

*** List down the words on that book that you dont know, on a paper and look for the translation on google translate or dictionary. Read and try to remember the words you have written until you can remember everything. The vocabularies for A1 are quite easy most of them sound a lot like English.

2. WATCH GERMAN MOVIES WITH SUBTITLE.

Yes, with subtitles, because there is no point of hearing the conversation without knowing what it means. I can recommend you some Movies that you can watch to improve your Hearing skill. These are :

--Das Leben der Anderen (good movie but it needs a very Heavy understanding)

--Lollipop Monster . Youtube link :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES_QL7m8J3s

--Summer/life after school . Youtube link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ze-JwJcRwls

3. LISTEN TO GERMAN SONGS AND WRITE DOWN THE TRANSLATION + TRY TO UNDERSTAND IT

I recommend you do download these songs, google the lyrics, write down, and find the translation.

"Motrip - So Wie Du Bist"
"An Tagen Wie Diese"

4. TALK TO YOUR GERMAN FRIENDS , OR if you dont have one, TALK TO SOME GERMAN STRANGERS ONLINE

Seriously,if you think talking to German strangers is embarassing or weird but trust me, it would be worth it! You can maybe talk on some online site like Chatroulette and set the location to "Germany". Or you use some penpals sites. :p

5. DONT BE NERVOUS, WORK HARD AND PRAY ;) I COULD DO IT, SO CAN YOU!

Being nervous just making you forget everything you have learned especially during the
    Hören and Sprechen parts ^^

REMEMBER : Passing this exam is not about you can pass or you can't. It is about you HAVE the motivation and spirit or you DON'T HAVE.

STUDY HARD AND LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES ^___^
